* ENERGY: The finance ministry has signed a pact with World Bank for grant of $100 mln to increase solar generation capacity through establishment of large-scale parks in India, a government release said.
* FAST-MOVING CONSUMER GOODS: The Central Board of Excise and Customs chairperson has written to FMCG companies asking them to immediately revise maximum retail price on all products in line with the latest reduction in goods and services tax rates.
* FUNDS: The government decided to retain a part of the oversubscription of Bharat 22 Exchange Traded Fund, to raise 145 bln rupees from the new fund offer, which closed on Friday.
* INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY: The government panel formed to suggest a framework for data protection in the country is likely to submit its report by December, a senior official of the information technology ministry said.
